Landscaping
The site is well enclosed by the existing woodland and established boundary trees.
There would be a landscape buffer between the development and the Blowers Wood ancient woodland of between 15.5m – 20m containing scrub planting, wildflower meadows and ecological habitats.
All existing woodland and tree boundaries would be retained and strengthened. There would be no houses backing onto the woodlands to avoid future overshadowing issues.
There would be a children's play space within the development together with a recreational green area.
The site is proposed to have a variety of internal landscaping to enhance the site. There would be a strong, spinal tree-lined route through the site. Larger street trees would line the main street from the entrance leading to the Central Green and landscaping across the wider site would be used to create different character areas within the development.
